Meet the gorgeous Nagi the Pallas's cat. She lives in Kobe Animal Kingdom.
She's five months old, born on May 12, 2026 in Kobe Animal Kingdom to the family of Nar the Pallas's cat and Az the Pallas's cat.
Nagi was given her name in Kobe Animal Kingdom where she was born. The names for the kittens were chosen by the zoo staff, inspired by the meanings of their fluffy parents' names: the father's name, Nar, means "sun" in Mongolian, while the mother's name, Az, means "happiness." Therefore, each of the five kittens in the litter was given a name inspired by a joyful natural phenomenon associated with the sun. Nagi (ナギ) means "a calm, sunlit water surface" in Japanese.
