Lalaa—the gorgeous Pallas's cat, who used to live in Ueno Zoological Gardens.
She was born on March 31, 2001 in Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens to the family of No6 the Pallas's cat and No5 the Pallas's cat. Read more about the travels of Lalaa.
Unfortunately Lalaa is not with us anymore. She passed away on December 25, 2011, she was ten years old.
Pallas's cats rarely live more than 5 years in the wild. In zoos under human care Pallas's cats live longer. Lalaa lived a long and happy manul-life in comfort and being loved.
She was given her first name Maron (マロン) in Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens where she was born. When she moved to Ueno Zoological Gardens she was given a new name—Lalaa (ララー). Read more about the names of Lalaa.
