Jubei—the terrific Pallas's cat, who used to live in Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
He was born on April 7, 1999 in Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens to the family of No6 the Pallas's cat and No5 the Pallas's cat.
Unfortunately Jubei is not with us anymore. He passed away on June 14, 2013, he was fourteen years old.
Pallas's cats rarely live more than 5 years in the wild. In zoos under human care Pallas's cats live longer. Jubei lived a long and happy manul-life in comfort and being loved.
Jubei was given his name in Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens where he was born. Read more about the names of Jubei.
