Emon—the endearing Pallas's cat, who used to live in Kobe Oji Zoo.
He was born on April 7, 1999 in Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens to the family of No6 the Pallas's cat and No5 the Pallas's cat. Read more about the travels of Emon.
Unfortunately Emon is not with us anymore. He passed away on March 15, 2015, he was fifteen years old.
Pallas's cats rarely live more than 5 years in the wild. In zoos under human care Pallas's cats live longer. Emon lived a long and happy manul-life in comfort and being loved.
