Today, Moscow has autumn weather.
It has been a little while since my visit, but these are the feeding times at Novosibirsk Zoo.
First, on September 19: when the keeper arrived with rats and chicks, the Pallas's cat kittens bounded after her in excitement. The keeper then tossed the food into the enclosure.

On September 20, the keeper entered the enclosure to feed them—a way I had never seen before, as the meat had always been tossed in previously. （I have been visiting here every September for three years.）
Todays wonderous manul is the one and only Bat-Erdene!

This wonder of a manul was born from Atlan and Namuu on April 9, 2025 in Port Lympne Wild Animal Park. On Feburary 27 2026 he moved to The Lakeland Wildlife Oasis where he currently resides.
His beautiful siblings are Zaya, Kharaa, Tuya, Altai, Khutga, Deizi, Pema and Delbee. He is a beautiful manul, and I hope more love is shined on him!

Todays princess of Karakol Zoo is Knjazhna Karakol'skaja!

Knjazhna Karakol'skaja was born in 2013 - 2014 in the wild of Kyrgyzstan. She was captured by locals when she was about one and a half years old because she tried to sneak into a chicken coop.
When she was captured she was very weak and hungry, so she was put into the Rehabilitation Centre at Karakol Zoo so she could get better. She stayed there for a while, but was later released back into the wild of Kyrgyzstan.

Just saw on the zoo's Instagram that Makari has moved into his outdoor enclosure and is available for viewing! Wisconsin is a liiiiitle far from me, but I hope there's a few Midwestern manulovers who can make him feel welcome and pass along my greetings from his brothers. 💚

🪵 Tree Rings visualises the zoo's history as a cross-section of a tree! The more manuls lived at the zoo in a given year, the darker and wider the corresponding ring. You can easily see how the population changed over time, and clicking on any ring reveals all the fluffy residents who lived there that year.

Being born from Makalu and Daugher of Miley b. 2016 on April 27, 2022. He was originally born in Jihlava Zoo, but in April of 2024 he moved to Parco Gallorose where he currently resides.
His name Fuggitivo was given in Parco Gallorose, which it translates from Italian to "Fugitive". That was given from his independent nature, and he was always avoid being seen or caught!
Currently, Fuggitivo has 1 sibling being the Ewok. No, I am not talking about the one from Star Wars!
