Friends, recently at the Brno Zoo the minuls had a veterinary checkup, during which the kittens’ sex was determined. You’ll be surprised, but not all of them turned out to be boys!🤭 Three kittens are girls, and two are boys.
Alas, one of the kittens did not survive😥 To this day, one of the main problems in keeping manuls in captivity remains the high mortality rate among kittens.
We wish the fluffy Czech five to grow up healthy and strong and become big and very serious manuls! And now let’s admire the new delightful photos of the manul kittens shared with us by Jan Máca.

Two manul kittens — zero peace and quiet! 😈
This spring, Lolo the Pallas’s cat gave birth to two cubs, and they have become real fluffy troublemakers!
Games, chases, somersaults, and all kinds of mischief — these floofs seem ready to play, tumble, and conquer new heights all day long!
Mom Lolo does her best to keep up with her little troublemakers and happily joins in their games. But when the kittens get a bit too wild, she has her own very special way of reminding them who’s in charge in this family 😁

We have wonderful news from Finland: three kittens are growing up at Korkeasaari Zoo, born to the family of Mimi and Arkas! 🥰

Leningrad Zoo in their Telegram channel shared some minul-news about manul Pepe and Shu’s kittens.
Recently, the zoo held a sound quiz and invited people to guess which of its residents can sound almost like a siren.

And the answer turned out to be very unexpected: that loud, resonant voice belonged not to adult fierce predators, but to very tiny manul kittens!
Along with the quiz answer, the zoo also shared new details about the little ones: in the fluffy quartet, there are two boys and two girls. Right now, each manul kitten weighs between 410 and 450 grams.

⚡New rare camera trap footage!
Hooray, we have wild news from wild ginger Pallas’s cats! 🧡😃
Camera traps have gifted us several very valuable shots from Turkmenistan. Manuls were captured in two mountain ranges of the country: the Kopet Dag range, which stretches along the border with Iran, and the Kichi-Balkan range in northwestern Turkmenistan.
Map of Turkmenistan: the Kopet Dag range is marked with a red marker, and the Kichi-Balkan range with a blue one.
The video from Kichi-Balkan became the first camera-trap video record of a manul on this range — one of Turkmenistan’s new nature reserves!

The minuls season continues!
This time the happy news came from Budapest Zoo: the lovely Lucy and Bohus have had a kitten!
The first veterinary checkup was carried out the other day, and it turned out that the little one is male.
The zoo reports that he is healthy, developing well, and delighting the staff with his excellent appetite. With each passing day, he is becoming braver: he is coming out of their house more often and exploring the world around him with growing confidence.
