Spotting Dersu is incredibly difficult. Like a true Karaganda’s offspring, he is very secretive, mysterious, and unsociable. And just like his dad, he has stunning emerald-green eyes 💚
Dear manulovers, the Manul Working Group has published a report on the first results of processing data from the camera network installed in Central Kazakhstan, some of which have been “adopted” by us and you — the subscribers of Manulization, as well as other manulovers.
The network now consists of 57 cameras, of which 35 camera were installed under the “Adopt a Camera” program, and that is more than half of all the cameras!👏🏻
We wish George, the eldest son of great Zelenogorsk, also known as Zhora, Zhorik, and sweet fluffy rock Zhorochka, the happiest 8th birthday! 🥳

Beautiful Anya is a mysterious manulady who doesn’t come out to show herself to visitors very often, so photographing her is not an easy task.
Sad news came from Ueno Zoo: on April 8, 2026, the beautiful Yus passed away 💔
She lived a very long manul life—she was nearly 16 years old 🙏🏻
Yus was born on May 4, 2010, at Ueno Zoo together with her brothers Naim and Doro to the manuls Bayar and Lalaa. She spent her entire life at her home zoo.
In recent years, the staff had noted age-related changes in Yus, though she maintained a good appetite and remained under close observation by specialists. In early March, her condition worsened, and after examination she was diagnosed with an esophageal disease. Despite veterinary care, sadly, Yus could not be saved.
April 12, today is the birthday of the wonderful Lolokins! They turned 2 years old!
Let’s admire what serious and fluffy charming manuls they have grown into!

Today, this great explorer of the lands of Poznań, along with his brothers Pluton and Mars, and his sisters Bożenka (now also a famous traveler!) and Nike, turned six years old! 🥳

Today, March 31, is the birthday of Altana’s and Fellini’s daughters from Parco Faunistico La Torbiera — they’ve turned one year old! 🥳
All four beauties Ariunaa, Tsas, Tuya, and Saran have already grown up and moved to their new homes to their fluffy grooms (how fast manuls grow!).
In mid-February, six Pallas’s cats from the Novosibirsk Zoo were moved to the Greens Zoological Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, part of the Vantara project in India:
