Friends, a new zoo has appeared on the manul map: New Zoo & Adventure Park, in the USA!
At the end of August Makari moved here from his native Binghamton Zoo.
On its social media, the zoo says that for now, their long-awaited new grumpy resident is living off exhibit so he can get acquainted and become friends with his new zookeeper, Jessica 🧡 To help with this, he is undergoing various training sessions—and Makari is making great progress!
Makariy is learning to trust his new friend Jessica and take treats from tongs 🍗
Soon, Makari will move into his exhibit enclosure and live next door to giraffes (wow, it seems manuls have never had such tall neighbors before!😄)
We wish the handsome Makari manul happiness in his new home!

New zoo, new picture. Makariy is conquering an obstacle course with a safety harness. I hope the little manul has lots of different equipment for active recreation in his enclosure too.
What a good boy)) Makariy has a very advantageous neighborhood from a marketing standpoint—giraffes always attract the public's attention.
