Birthday of the Junior Evchiks (born in 2024)! 🥳
April 17, today we’re celebrating the birthday of the absolutely wonderful Junior Eve's Five!
They’ve turned 2 years old! 🎉
Let’s look at these birthday floofs and finally learn their names!
Anya
Beautiful Anya is a mysterious manulady who doesn’t come out to show herself to visitors very often, so photographing her is not an easy task.

Just look how contrast is a pattern on her little face (that signature manul “makeup”!), and she also has the most magnificent whiskers in all of Novosibirsk!
Ruf
And here he is—a handsome manul named Ruf (Evchik Ⅰ).

Ruf still lives at the Novosibirsk Zoo.
Elf
And this is our charming big-eyed Evchik Ⅲ with the magical name Elf.

Since childhood, Elf stood out for his huge, wide-open eyes and his love for sitting high up in trees, all puffed up like a fluffy little rock. Because of this, manulovers gave him a name “Sychik,” for his resemblance to the Eurasian pygmy owl—one of the smallest owls in the world, known in Russia as “Sychik”.
At the Novosibirsk Zoo, Elf lived together with his brother Ruf. They got along wonderfully and loved sitting in trees together, watching the world around them.

Now Elf lives in India in Greens Zoological Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre.
We really hope to see you again someday, dear wide-eyed floof!
Kim
Another grumpy and handsome fluffy guy—Evchik Ⅱ named Kim.

At the Novosibirsk Zoo, he lived together with his brother Evchik Ⅳ.
Just like Elf and Ruf, they also love practicing high-altitude tree climbing 😁

This winter, Kim moved from the Novosibirsk Zoo to India, to the Greens Zoological Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre.
Skif
And here—meet Evchik Ⅳ, named Skif.

This February, he also moved to India together with his brothers.
Happy Byrthday magnificent fluffy Eve's Five!
We wish them Siberian health and feline spirit, the most caring keepers, juicy meats, and of course—plenty of their favorite high observation spots! 😄❤️

Happy birthday to the precious and wonderful floofs! I hope the boys who moved are adjusting to their new home. 💚💚
mnamosyna (rachael), It's so interesting to see how they've settled in there! 🙌🏻
They're all very good. I hope everything works out well for the brothers in their foreign land.
Happy birthday to my precious sister and brothers!!! May all be well for them, both in their homeland and in their new surroundings! May the care and attention of the keepers, doctors, and the zoo itself be extended, along with the best enclosures and stands for manuling, shelves, and hiding spots! May it be cool in the summer and warm in the winter! May the leather exteriors not irritate them too much! With love!
Thank you so much for the wonderful articles about these fluffy birthday cats. They all deserve our attention and respect 😀😍
My God, how beautiful! It's nature in a magical moment. It's a privilege to see such special creatures. Happy birthday, precious jewels.😻😽💫✨🌠

Roma and I are so glad that you read our articles 🤗 thank you!
Анна, Oh, Anya, thank you so much!🙏
If Roma and I have nothing better to do in retirement, we'll write a book about the inner workings of manualization, with a large section dedicated to manual reconnaissance—it'll be a bestseller, I promise! 😹
I hope all is well with the newly minted Indians. Did they get names in their new homeland?
And the photos are so wonderful))
helgaingvar, Thank you very much! 🤗
No, these are all “Novosibirsk” names.
I hope they keep them in their new home! 🙏
Many happy return, dear Evchiks!
