From Siberia to India!
In mid-February, six Pallas’s cats from the Novosibirsk Zoo were moved to the Greens Zoological Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, part of the Vantara project in India:
- Son of Eve 2024 Ⅱ;
- Son of Eve 2024 Ⅲ (Sychik*);
- Son of Eve 2024 Ⅳ;
- Son of Lolo 2024 Ⅵ;
- Lucky;
- Violetta.

Vantara was established by the non-profit Reliance Foundation as a center for elephant rehabilitation and a sanctuary for predators in need of care. Today, Vantara is a huge zoological complex spanning over 3500 acres. It includes the Greens Zoological Centre, an elephant rehabilitation facility, shelters for big cats and other animals, as well as veterinary hospitals.

As of 2025, according to its annual report, the Greens Zoological Centre housed 34,357 animals from 887 species around the world. Since 2024, the Greens Zoological Centre has been a member of EARAZA.

Vantara is closed to the public, but we hope that one day we will have a chance to meet our beloved Siberian fluffs again ❤️
We wholeheartedly wish them true manul happiness in their new home and the most caring zookeepers!

Lucky's darling... May the adaptation be successful and you all be comfortable and safe in your new home.
Julia, I never wanted to go to India, but now I do 😁
I would love to see them all again in their new home!
The acrobatic brothers and Owl, it's just so sad. And Cedar and Lyutsik. And Veselka.
It's good, of course, that the Pallas's cats in Novosibirsk are multiplying for a reason; without exchange, there's no development. But damn, it's sad to have to leave without even saying goodbye.
Nnnnnnn... I don't knoooow... The heat, the high humidity, and everything. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't like this news, it even stings my nose.
I can't say I'm happy. It's scary to let them go so far away 😢
Анна, These days, in the modern world, you can create any conditions you want—as long as you have the money! You can even make snow in an enclosure in the tropics. Vantara seems to be doing very well financially, even much better than the world's richest zoos. The only thing that's truly sad is the uncertainty.

We're glad that our N-sky Pallas's cats aren't being kept in a closed population. That they're not breeding for the sake of breeding or breaking records. It's great that exchanges are taking place, that our Pallas's cats are going to other zoos.
We're worried about the uncertainty and the suddenness. Of course, no one will talk about the projects because things don't always work out. Of course, no one will talk about the details. But we'd like to see at least something, at least some minimal proactive work.
I hope this is for temporary residence there.
