Manul kittens have been born at the Leningrad Zoo!
Hooray! On May 8, Shu and Pepe the manuls had four fluffy kittens! 😻
For Pepe, these are her first cubs, so the staff are trying to disturb the family as little as possible: the kittens are still in the den, feeding on milk, and are only just beginning to open their eyes. Their sex is not yet known.
We wish the little ones to grow up strong, healthy, and curious, and Mama Pepe — calm, strength, and plenty of manul patience and wisdom!💛
Right now the family especially needs peace and quiet, so it is especially important to keep quiet near the manul enclosures 🤫
