Happy Birthday to Zelenogorsk’s Eldest Son!
We wish George, the eldest son of great Zelenogorsk, also known as Zhora, Zhorik, and sweet fluffy rock Zhorochka, the happiest 8th birthday! 🥳
May our dear birthday catboy have good health and many long years, the coziest hammocks, the favor of fluffy manuladies, and double meats!
Zhora, happy birthday! You’re the best! 😄🔥
P.S. Look what a sweetie pie Zhora was in his childhood 👇🏻

He will carry on Gorsk's great legacy. The heir to his throne.
Zhora is the best!
Birthday boy of May 4, 2026 🎉🍾
— The shift has been taken over!
Zhora has taken over Zelenogorsk’s shift from Lucky’s paws.
How I adore this photo of Zhorik! I’ll never get tired of writing about it.
Happy birthday, our very best one! Live long, stay healthy, breed diligently, and give Mia’s house a wide berth!
Right now.
On his birthday, Zhora came out and is delighting us with his Zhoro-glory!
Happy Birthday, oh Fluffy One! Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Happy Birthday, Zhora! Wishing you manul happiness, good health, longevity, and lots of treats!
Zhora is the best! 🎉🎉🎉
Fluffiest wishes, Zhora! May all your manul dreams come true! Hope your birthday is as amazing as you are!
What a handsome lad. Just like papa.
The sweet little bun grew into a rugged loaf. And only got better for it!
Zhora, may you have manul joys and happiness, health and popularity, and may your charisma grow every day!
Happy birthday, handsome George!! May your day be blessed with much meat and no crows! 🎂
Almost a year ago, one day short of a year, on May 8, 2025, I was chatting with Zelenogorsk by this very wall of this very enclosure. Zelya came right up, rubbed against the mesh, and seemed to be scolding me about something. And I could just as easily have reached out and touched his side. And I even knew he wouldn’t lunge or grab my hands. But I didn’t touch him — I can’t even make sense of why. Some mixture of respect for the cat, following the zoo’s rules, and simply understanding that you just don’t do that, that it would be wrong.
Today, in the very same spot, Zhora came up to the mesh in almost the same way. And just the same, he could (theoretically) have been touched. And just the same, it never even occurred to me to actually carry out that “touch.” Such a good cat, simply a miracle.
Live long, cat! And make lots more purrziks, purrziks.
Happy birthday Zhora!!! We love you and hope you enjoy a nice relaxing day in your beloved hammocks💗
Pavel Burov, What a touching story!
Of course, you shouldn’t touch animals—why put them through extra stress?
mnamosyna (rachael), Ahah, "without crows" is indeed an important clarification! 👍🏼😁
Pavel Burov, Beautiful! That gaze is signature, almost gluttonous! 🔥😁
