chemnitz zoo visit 🐾
it turns out, in two days i will be visiting tierpark Berlin! i will visit in the morning before we drive to hannover.
in chemnitz zoo, i had much more luck! we got there early and cold, i thought the manuls would be more likely to be out.
and before we got to the enclosure, i noticed a sign with a manul on it!
i thought it was so cute. 🥺
we made our way to the manuls and saw some other adorable cats! my mum said she saw something running around in the manul enclosure 👀
it was bob!
i was unable to get a good photo because he was running so much and went to hide, sorry! 🥺
but after looking at the other small cats, we came to look back and found tuya!
so, i had much more luck in chemnitz zoo! hopefully im this lucky in tierpark berlin!
there were no souvinirs.

so pleased you had a successful trip & got to see Bob & Tuya - I just wanted to say there are 3 manuls at Tierpark Berlin - Charu & Chengdu right at the top of the Himalayan section of the zoo & Maneki-Neko who is another section of the zoo not far from the striped hyena - if you don’t have a lot of time as the Himalayan section is quite a walk you may just want to visit Maneki-Neko who might be easier to spot 😊 I’ve done a screenshot of the area she is in - Good luck with your manul adventure - hope you have time to see all of them 🤞🏻

Seeing Tuya in Pema's old space is such a bittersweet kind of feeling. I'm sad she's gone, but her beautiful granddaughter is ruling the place now!
ангел 🐾, That’s great news so hopefully you will see all 3 & get some photos of them 🤞🏻 There is a bench you can sit on near Charu & Chengdu so you can sit & observe & enjoy the view from the top of the Himalayan section 😁 Have a good trip! 😊

We really love the Himalaya section in Berlin, where the manul enclosure is located right at the top, as if crowning the whole exhibit and showing who’s boss at the zoo!😹
By the way, in the Himalaya section opposite the manul enclosure there really is a very convenient bench for waiting for manuls😻 Though during our visits we practically never saw any manuls there 😹
It’s so wonderful to realize that more and more manulovers are planning their trips around zoos with manuls! 😅🔥 That’s really so cool!
