The Peculiarities of Manul Pedagogy: An Interview with a Teacher

For the recently celebrated Teachers’ Day, we prepared an interview with an esteemed educator, Anna Zelenogorskovna, a teacher of manulometry at Novossibirsk Minul High School.

- Just Anya is fine.

- Anya, tell us, what is the main rule of manulometry?

- The rule is very simple. The ideal shape of a manul is a sphere. 

- Like yours?

- Well, I’m not ideal either. But I try to set an example for my students.

- And how did you yourself master this difficult discipline?

- My father taught me. His spherical shape was perfect. He even developed a textbook on comparative manulometry. It hangs in our classroom. Here it is:

- Everything is so seriously organized at your school! Do you hold open classes?

- Of course! Sometimes Professor Boris from the Krasnoyarsk University of Manul Studies joins us. He’s a very strict teacher! If he sees paws not resting on the tail, he’ll make them retake the exam!

- And rightly so. After all, good shape is the key to a successful manul career. As they say, the body is round, the manul is proud. 

- I try to motivate the students so they’ll be less lazy—you know what teenagers are like. Take Georgette, for example: she’s on track for a gold medal, but she skips classes and sits in a hammock. That simply won’t do!

And here is her friend, also a great talent. Just look at these results!

- That’s an amazing success! And how do you motivate your students?

- Mostly with a stern look. They understand that very well.
