On August 4, 2022 in Novosibirsk Zoo she was given her name Snezhinka (Снежинка), which she is known by to this day. “Snezhinka” means “a snowflake” in Russian. Novosibirsk received a status “New Year capital of Russia 2022–23” and a snowflake was a symbol of this project. Mayor office decided to “leave a warm memory to commemorate the event” and name one of manuls after a snowflake.
