Genghis—the marvelous Pallas's cat, who used to live in Kraków Zoo.
He was born on June 14, 2020 in Lyon Zoo to the family of Banihal the Pallas's cat and Zoe the Pallas's cat. Read more about the travels of Genghis.
Genghis was given his name in Kraków Zoo. Earlier he was likely called Otto, but now he has officially changed his name to Czyngis — in honor of the founder and first Great Khan of the Mongol Empire — Genghis Khan. Read more about the names of Genghis.
Unfortunately Genghis is not with us anymore. He passed away in February of 2026, he was five years old.
