Alula—the gorgeous Pallas's cat, who used to live in Highland Wildlife Park.
She was born on April 2, 2007 in Edinburgh Zoo to the family of Kagan the Pallas's cat and Dunja the Pallas's cat. Read more about the travels of Alula.
Alula was given her name in Highland Wildlife Park. Her name comes from the name of a popular rock song “Be-Bop-a-Lula” because her boyfriend was named Bebop earlier. Read more about the names of Alula.
Unfortunately Alula is not with us anymore. She passed away on June 25, 2016, she was nine years old.
Pallas's cats rarely live more than 5 years in the wild. In zoos under human care Pallas's cats live longer. Alula lived a long and happy manul-life in comfort and being loved.
