Dersu was born from Karaganda and Aisha in May 20, 2018 in Novosibirsk Zoo. Later in September of 2019 he moved to Dessau Zoo where he currently lives. His name was based off the legendary hunter Dersu Uzala, with Uzala having many movies about him.

Dersu has 5 beautiful siblings; Zara, Drachun, Altai, Achi and Adele. Dersu is a wonderous manul and I hope he gets more love on him!

Question of the day: Whats the most iconic part of a manul?

All information gathered from the offical page for Dersu on Manulization.

I think the face is the most iconic part of a manul. Rounded ears on the side of the head with highset eys featuring circular pupils are some of the features that make the Pallas cat iconic and unique.

I think that besides manul faces the most famous part of our precious fluff balls should be their red heels and black toe beans! The most misterious manul part. Because why!? 😀 Red heels don’t help manuls hide, so whats the purpose of them?
