The princess in the drawing is instantly recognizable and beautiful.
Sometimes I, as an amateur photographer, feel a mixture of respect and a kind of bright, good-natured envy toward artists. An artist paints true realityโthe one that exists beyond time and space, however limited that may be. Not the one given to us in chiaroscuro, in the shooting angle and perspective, in framing and the captured moment, which is what we photographers have at our disposal.
It is so cool to be able to convey the very essence of a phenomenon with lines and strokes like that.
