There was also that version, but they are Timofey’s second cousins, and the zoo, apparently, wants there to be no kinship at all. Otherwise Katun or Adel would have fit.
Although among the St. Petersburg cats, Namika is a perfect fit for Timosha 😆. Maybe they want to send her on a business trip to Moscow while Sven isn’t looking?

Aren’t Chinese young ladies being considered as brides? Maybe the zoos there are already striking a quid pro quo deal: they give us a girl, and we give them a boy, which Chinese zoos are so short of.

Funny! The Novosibirsk Zoo isn’t taking part in the program, but it has done more than anyone else to help preserve and breed the manul)
Now it’s clear why Pepe was chosen for Shu, and not Lolo or Snezhinka.
And why isn’t he taking part? There are so many manuls there; they could swap them around and refresh the gene pool.
