Elmwood Park Zoo
Mother Nature seems to always know when I'm planning a manul pilgrimage and sends me rain. Smithsonian, Prospect Park, and now Elmwood Park... every time rain! And today it wasn't just rain but a full nor'easter!
Fortunately and surprisingly, I did get to see both of the boys!
Kasper stayed in his little house, but he watched me the whole time with a deeply judgemental look that was probably warranted. Silly human should have been dry and warm inside!
Reza spent most of his time staying dry in his own house as well, but a keeper came by the outside of the cage and Reza came over to say hi! Of course, it was a short hi before he quickly returned to his dry shelf.

After his rain walk, Reza had to fix his hair.
I must say, both boys have fattened up considerably since I was here in July. It's not even October yet and they already had their winter coats on!
Anyway, it was a good day. A very wet day, but a good day! (Also my fortieth birthday! 😅)

And yes they can visit each other! The little door you can see Reza walk through in the first video connects the two halves of their enclosure so the boys can both move freely between both areas.
