Temuchin—the terrific Pallas's cat, who used to live in Howletts Wild Animal Park.
He was born on March 16, 2007 in Howletts Wild Animal Park to the family of Dimitri the Pallas's cat and Kamen the Pallas's cat.
Temuchin was given his name in Howletts Wild Animal Park where he was born. This was the name of Genghis Khan, the founder and first Great Khan of the Mongol Empire. His zookeepers also called him “Little Man”. Read more about the names of Temuchin.
Unfortunately Temuchin is not with us anymore. He passed away on August 2, 2018, he was eleven years old.
Pallas's cats rarely live more than 5 years in the wild. In zoos under human care Pallas's cats live longer. Temuchin lived a long and happy manul-life in comfort and being loved.
