Nuruu—the gorgeous Pallas's cat, who used to live in Howletts Wild Animal Park.
She was born in the spring of 2009 in Howletts Wild Animal Park to the family of Dmitri the Pallas's cat and Kamen the Pallas's cat.
Nuruu was given her name in Howletts Wild Animal Park where she was born. She was named in Mongolian was as her husband Temujin. “Nuruu” (Нуруу) means “a ridge” (mountains). Read more about the names of Nuruu.
Unfortunately Nuruu is not with us anymore. She passed away in April of 2020, she was eleven years old.
Pallas's cats rarely live more than 5 years in the wild. In zoos under human care Pallas's cats live longer. Nuruu lived a long and happy manul-life in comfort and being loved.
