Todays icon, and friend of Zelengorsk, is the Karaganda!

This elder manul was born in the wild around 2010 - 2011 in the Karaganda Region, Kazakstan. His parents are unknown. In 2011 he was moved from the wild to Karagandy zoo, and then in the autumn of 2013 he moved from Karagandy zoo to Novosibirsk Zoo

He later passed on September 1st 2025 - December 31 2025. It's rare a wild manul lives for more than 5 years, and in captivity they live for a little longer. He lived for 14 - 15 years making him one of the oldest and happiest longest living manuls.

Karaganda has 16 children; Achi, Adele, Zara, Drachun, Dersu, Altai, Mia, Altay, Klyon, Kisa, Dima, Yenisei, Sasza, Innokenty, Maneki-Neko and Siberian girl. Karaganda is a beautiful manul, and he was there with Zelenogorsk in his last years. He is an icon, and it's amazing how long he lasted.
