Todays manul is the lovely and popular Snezhinka!
Snezhinka was born on June 6, 2022 from the mother Mia in Novosibirsk Zoo. Her father is unknown, with possible fathers being Earl, George or Zelenogorsk. Snezhinka has 5 siblings, Marik, Snezhana, Son of Mia 2022 III, Daughter of Mia 2022 IV and Bayun. She has also had 6 children with the father Achi with them being Katun, Berel', Akkem, Mensu, Son of Snezhinka b.2025 V and VI.
In August 4th, 2022 she was named Snezhinka which means "a snowflake" in Russian. Novosibirsk was given a status “New Year capital of Russia 2022–23” and the snowflake ( not Snezhinka ) was a symbol of it. The Mayor office decided to “leave a warm memory to commemorate the event” and name one of manuls after a snowflake.
