Animal Guides at Nogeyama Zoo
At Nogeyama Zoo, guides for each animal are held on a rotating daily schedule by the keepers in charge, and starting in October, Pallas's cat animal guides will be held.

On October 1, the first day, many visitors gathered in front of Figa.

The guide proceeded smoothly, with Figa—who usually freezes up when the keepers are watching—unusually beginning to move around.
Like the special Pallas's Cat Day guide, the guide covers Pallas's cats' ecology in the wild, Figa's personality, and his life at Nogeyama Zoo.
There were also exciting moments, such as actually feeding Figa, and the first guide ended successfully.

Nogeyama Zoo will be closed for an extended period for renovations next January, so although there are fewer than 100 days left, I am filled with gratitude as a visitor that they are holding guides like this. It gives us one more thing to enjoy at Nogeyama Zoo, and Figa's popularity will surely rise even further.

It's so awesome that Figa is having a moment in the spotlight! 🔥🔥
As far as I know, aside from Nogeyama, Asahiyama may be the only facility in Japan where guides give talks about Pallas's cats in front of their enclosure?
I really wish every facility that has Pallas's cats would do this.
Also, the illustrations are adorable♪
