The worst of it is Pepe, who managed to run away from the food bowl with one magnificent paw. Her eyes are practically blazing. A boy comes up, grabs the paw with his teeth, yanks, and runs off to eat. And there stands little Pepe, with something in her eyes—whether it’s longing or maternal love, who knows 🙂😹
When the children had finally settled down, she was gnawing on some cartilage they had left behind, scraping up the last calories.
