A manul pilgrimage to Boris in Krasnoyarsk! Part 2.

What did Boris do after lunch? No, he didn’t go to his favorite shelf. It turns out he has another favorite spot. Well, at least at the time I saw him. This spot is on scattered wood chips, and Borya sits so that his cute little face can’t be seen from any angle. But he knows that manul devotees are eager to see him, so every now and then he turned his head to show off a gloomy look and express his indignation at the lady in the red jacket and orange hat (that’s me).

This spot with the wood chips pleased His Majesty. When he didn’t turn his head, his gaze was fixed on the wall.

But he absolutely had to sit on his favorite shelf too, even if only briefly—the one from which Boris has a view of both sides of the enclosure.

And Boris also showed how he can sit on a thin branch while keeping his balance. Otherwise, his sides keep threatening to outweigh him and make Borya fall.

His little eyes dart left, then right—what if food arrives before 16:00?

Framed by pine branches, Boris is very handsome. It’s a pity my camera couldn’t capture all the subtleties, but he is a charming green-eyed fellow.

A friendly look changes to a gloomy one in 0.5 seconds.

It seems Boris is showing his displeasure—he hasn’t eaten for a whole hour! Any moment now he’ll bare his teeth; perhaps then the servants will hurry up with the coveted bucket.

Boris in Royev Ruchey,

Time for the photojournalist to have a bite too! Luckily, I don’t have far to run, and I’ll make it back for the second feeding.

To be continued.

Boriska, cut that out. Zosya is the specialist when it comes to branches (and bottoms too). And you’re the king, so rule. Otherwise, we’ll quickly replace you with Sylvester. You’ll be keeping an eye on the barbecue makers.
