Pallas Pilgrimage: Prague
My pilgrimage in Prague was a big success. I followed the advice to visit them early in the day and they both appeared. I was a bit worried because the day prior there was a post on Reddit (r/PallasCats) speculating that the manuls might not be in the enclosure because the user couldn't spot them.

Spay even came to the glass front briefly and stood on his hind legs but I didn't get a photo of that

Prinsessa seemed pretty relaxed and moved around in good view of my camera. So I hope that means she got used to the Prague zoo and is happy.
The manuls also have a nice view of the city from their enclosure.

Both manuls hid when it got hotter and didn't even come out to grab their food (2 rats per cat). Prinsessa was in the right enclosure and Spay the left enclosure. It looked like the tunnel between the enclosures was closed. Does Prague Zoo split their Pallas cats outside of the mating season?
I also found some manul merch; A pallas cat keychain and a zoo calendar with a photo of Prinsessa.
I am very happy with the photos I took but I hope that the heatwave in Europe will end soon because it seems the manuls don't like high temperatures.

Apologies, i saw that the dates of my images are messed up because the date in my camera is wrong. All images are from August 8th 2026
Wonderful pictures, thank you! Spay and Princessa look healthy and happy. 💚 I'm glad your manul pilgrimage was a great success!!
I don't blame the manuls; I don't go out in mid day of late myself. And am grateful I live near the coast so we get the sea breezes!
Prague looks like such an amazing place! The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and with all the superstar manuls there too, it really is the perfect city!
Please take care in the heat as well, and I hope you have a wonderful time on your manul adventures! 🐾💕
