I'm still trying to put my finger on what exactly is different about the faces of Chinese manuls (otocolobus nigripectus?). There's a definite look which they have, and it's not like the Siberian manuls nor the orange manuls in Yerevan either.

It seems to me that manuls of the subspecies Otocolobus manul nigripectus have darker gray fur than Otocolobus manul manul. In addition, in my view, their eye shape differs: in nigripectus, their eyes are more almond-shaped.
