Pamir—the gorgeous Pallas's cat, who used to live in Neuwied Zoo.
He was born on April 18, 2016 in Brno Zoo to the family of Manu the Pallas's cat and Rosa the Pallas's cat. Read more about the travels of Pamir.
Unfortunately Pamir is not with us anymore. He passed away in 2023, he was six years old.
He was given his first name Manáslu in Brno Zoo where he was born. When he moved to Neuwied Zoo he was given a new name—Pamir. Read more about the names of Pamir.

In 2016 in Brno Zoo he was given his first name—Manáslu. Traditionally for the Brno Zoo this Pallas's cat has “mountain” name: Manaslu is the eighth-highest mountain in the world. It is in the Mansiri Himal, part of the Nepalese Himalayas.
In 2017 in Neuwied Zoo he was given his name Pamir.
