Features of manul photography. Engagement

Once, in a previous life or so, I went to study to become a photographer. Back then it was fashionable. Digital photography was on the rise, every city had a plant for burning photographers that had broken down, cat macro sunsets were all over social media. Courses, teachers, intensives. From the whole avalanche of knowledge, stereotypes, misconceptions, pseudo-scholarship, and the like, one thing remained. One phrase that largely shaped my naive, homemade, ignorant approach to photography:
— Photograph what you love.

It’s impossible to pass by a manul’s ginger paws.

A strange upward gaze (actually, Timoshenka is following a sparrow that has fluttered away with his eyes).

Timoshenka’s displeased, wary look.

A strange phase of movement unlike anything else.

A ballet step from the manul’s repertoire.

Studying the universe upside down. Because why not.

And a direct gaze into the soul.
And all of this is Timosha. A well-built and versatile cat, surrounded by rumors, gossip, and incredible urban legends. A living symbol of the Moscow Zoo and a black mark on the map of the last visitors’ awareness of animals.
Perhaps it would be wonderful to be able to put into words the thoughts and feelings we have for our beloved cat. But it only comes out photographically.
But really, I just wanted to show Timoshenka’s top photo. He really is such a good, handsome cat. And everything about cats is wonderful.
Cats for everyone!

What a palette of emotions! Bravo to the photographer!
When I turned the seventh photo upside down, a lot immediately became clear about life and everything else...
In short, you’ve got to live for the joy of it. Like cats. And create for the joy of it too. Thanks for sharing a little piece of life with us!
You have absolutely delightful photos.
And Timosha himself is absolutely delightful.
Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
The shots with the world turned upside down are simply delightful, Timosha has such an expressive face 😍 Our wonderful, magnificent one, so different and so adored Knyazhe
