A seasoned hunter prepares carefully for a momentous event. He goes over the grounds, checks whether everything is in place and ready for the hunt.

And then the beaters flushed the game. Time! Timosha darts at the quail and strikes it dead with a sure shot. After that, he displays his trophy.

Such a luxurious and rare trophy would be no shame to show off twice!

Timosha has dined on quail; he steps out onto the porch of the prince’s terem and gives himself over to the languor of the after-dinner hour.

And after a friendly feast, a walk for digestion.
It was a good day. And a good hunt.

Among us, the hypothesis holds that this isn’t about showing off, but rather like a house cat that brings half-dead mice and birds to its leather servants. After all, it’s cats who teach us to hunt. Just as a mother cat teaches kittens in childhood.
And so Timoshenka thinks of us, bald leather useless ones, as not entirely worthless. And he tries to teach us at least the basics. At least how to hunt a quail that has already been killed in advance. Without that, one can’t survive. Even in the zoo.
Timoshenka is a very kind and generous cat. We should be grateful to fate that we live in the era of the manul Timofey!
