I can’t catch sight of Timofey
Every time I go to the Moscow Zoo, I can’t manage to see Timofey…. He’s such a secretive manul :( Does anyone know when he can be seen? Maybe he comes out at a certain time, like when they feed him?

I was told here that he’s fed sometime between 14:00 and 16:00; I came at 14:30–15:00 and successfully met him. At other times I don’t even know whether he comes out at all, apart from feeding time..
But he doesn’t just grab the food and leave; he strolls around his domain, comes quite close to the glass, and jumps onto the shelves
Hi! Over the past few weeks I’ve been going to see Timoshenka every weekend. The routine is this:
1. You need to be there at 2:00 p.m.
2. Be prepared not to leave the enclosure for even a second until at least 4:00 p.m.
3. On the right (the observer’s right) there is a mesh door in the enclosure. The keepers will come out through it.
4. The keepers will bring food, clean up, and change the water.
5. Timosha comes out up to three times: when he sees the keepers (he darts out to meet them and then straight back in), for food, and after he has eaten.
In a good mood after eating, Timoshenka walks around for an hour or more. In a bad one — less than a minute.
Important. When he is in a good mood, he comes out to walk many times. Don’t leave right away as soon as he goes back through the door. About 5..10 minutes later he may come out again.
The main thing is patience. For example, yesterday I stayed by the enclosure from about 13:10 to about 16:30. Timoshenka was in a good mood; from about 14:50 to about 16:20 he was out walking.
