Drawing I've made for practice
Recently I have been hired by my school to draw for the yearbook, they wanted a Diary of a Wimpy Kid style yearbook but due to copyright they cannot legally use images from the actual book. I am good with replicating art styles, but I do practice.
They said that the drawings will be credited to me on the yearbook editors page, I'm not really keen on drawing myself, but I am keen on drawing a symbol of myself...
This was my practice round for the style, of course, there are no Pallas cat references and very few CAT references in books.
I would like to use the Pallas cat as a credit line, I mean, it's more recognizable than my face... I wear lots of Pallas cat stuff!!
Any DOAWK fans, is this something you'd find in the books? Let me know so I can improve!!!

This drawing perfectly captures the fluff and anger of a manul, love it!
It is absolutely amazing!! I haven't read the books in a while, but I don't remember any zigzag lines used to replicate fur, maybe try to make more rounded lines?

Bethany, It's kind of a back and forth, Greg, assumingly, makes zigzags to indicate the wildness of cats, but domesticated ones are smooth. Atleast that's what I got, but I will try to make more rounded lines like suggested, thank you!
I'm not super familiar with the original source material but personally I think it looks awesome!
