For friends who don’t speak Russian: I call Anya “Anchous”/«Анчоус» (“anchous” means “anchovy” in Russian) because in Russian it sounds like a combination of the name Anya (“An”) and the word «Ус»/“ous” meaning in Russian “moustache/whisker.” This is my way of highlighting how beautiful Anya’s whiskers (vibrissae) are. When she was kitten, they curled in different directions, and it looked very extravagant!😸🤩
Vika Malyshkoverified_filled,
Anya is absolutely lovely. A silvery coat, beautiful round eyes. And the way she moves—pure delight! It’s a good thing she now lives off to the side, in a far corner. A spacious enclosure, where she can take a walk in the evening when there are no people around.

Look at how beautiful Anya is.
Strictly between us: I call Anya Anchovy to emphasize what a wonderfully Anya-like beauty she is 😸
