I took an emergency day off work today and visited the gang of Bat-Erdene, Altai and Khutga today at their new home. How exciting! We were playing a bit of a game of hide and seek, but with patience they gave more of a show than expected. Very brave 😻
Living in the North of England, I am so happy to now have two zoos (Edinburgh Zoo and Lakeland) that are both two hours drive from me. Manul day trips! 😻😻😻

Grusha's New Home
Grusha is scheduled to move to a new enclosure on April 29. The zoo shared and showed what this new home will look like.
The new fenced area consists of an area with artificial rocks and a grassy area. Artificial rocks:

This type of enclosure was created because Pallas's cats hide not only in rocky but also in grassy areas.

Had a dream I played this manul game
I played it with Obama at the bottom of a pool and the game was really fun. You could play as several manuls with differing stats (Baby Shu was the heaviest). The tracks were also just different zoos.
Now that I thought of this game I actually want to code this and make is a browser game, let me know if anyone has any support or legal advice they would like to share!
Edit: I also want to make a few physical cartridges for the snes/ super famicom / sega genesis/mega drive. But the browser version will still be availible for people who live where these consoles weren't released.

since were sharing our manul art, i decided to share a drawing of prinsessa that i made some time ago!!
The Saitama Children's Zoo shared good news: starting February 12, the beautiful Oto will begin exploring her exhibit enclosure. This isn't a full opening, but rather a period of adjustment—experiencing the new space, smells, and sounds. For now, the zoo has created a safe environment for Oto, so visitors won't be able to see her easily, but staff will be closely monitoring her.
Oto arrived in Saitama from Kobe Animal Kingdom Zoo on January 12, 2026. Upon arrival, Oto was kept in quarantine, a standard practice when animals are transferred between zoos.
Oto was born on April 19, 2024 to a family of Pallas's cats Nar and Az .
