Dude—the gorgeous Pallas's cat, who used to live in Lee Richardson Zoo.
He was born on April 5, 2003 in San Diego Zoo to the family of Nicholas the Pallas's cat and Alexandra the Pallas's cat. Read more about the travels of Dude.
Unfortunately Dude is not with us anymore. He passed away on December 14, 2016, he was thirteen years old.
Pallas's cats rarely live more than 5 years in the wild. In zoos under human care Pallas's cats live longer. Dude lived a long and happy manul-life in comfort and being loved.

In 2006 Dude moved from San Diego Zoo to Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.
In 2007 Dude moved from Columbus Zoo and Aquarium to Lincoln Park Zoo.
In 2015 Dude moved from Lincoln Park Zoo to Lee Richardson Zoo.
